This was beautiful! Alaskan Heartbeat is a small town romance, but with more depth and a heart wrenching sub plot. Emma and Matts story is messy, raw and real and encapsulates the real life trauma of ex-military couples and women who have been mistreated by the exes! But, amidst the darkness that threatens to ruin them is absolute beauty, quiet, understated beauty. Yes, it’s a small town romance, but it’s also a story of two people who are a little bit broken, working tirelessly to put each other back together! The ups and downs in this story are endless and it had me on a chokehold! The best romance I’ve read in a long time!
