Emma and Matts story is messy, raw and real and encapsulates the real life trauma of ex-military couples and women who have been mistreated by the exes! But, amidst the darkness that threatens to ruin them is absolute beauty, quiet, understated beauty. Yes, it’s a small town romance, but it’s also a story of two people who are a little bit broken, working tirelessly to put each other back together! The ups and downs in this story are endless and it had me on a chokehold! The best romance I’ve read in a long time!

A lovely small town read by an incredibly talented author. Both main characters are incredibly relatable and I loved the dynamic between them both. Definitely will be back for book 2!

What a great story of Matt and Emma. Matt an ex navy seal and Emma a plus size women who was bullied her Elmo at of her life cause she was heavy. Lots of ups and downs with them. This is a must read if you like a Gilmore type of romance.
